Solitude Resort - Vacation Rentals & Ski Lodging

Solitude is one of those classic winter resorts that emanate the European culture on which it is based, right down to the style of the village itself. For visitors to this mountain sanctuary, it’s a great locale for those looking to spend some time on the slopes or just walk around and explore the town and all that it has to offer.

Starting with après, Solitude knows how to please. After a day on the slopes, kick back at one of the restaurants in the village with some delectable appetizers and imbibe with some tasty concoctions. You can unwind in front of the fire in one of the resorts featured ski-in/ski-out luxury accommodations, while a piping hot mug of cider or hot chocolate brings renewed life to your weary muscles. You can take advantage of one of the spas and get a massage if you want to relax or a facial if you’re trying to look your best in the thin mountain air. Of course, if shopping is more your speed, be sure to check out some of the unique shops where you’ll find local creations just waiting to be taken home by visitors to the resort.

When you start to feel those hunger pangs, it’s time to head out and enjoy the delicious culinary delights found throughout the resort. From a classic burger in a casual setting to fine dining with wine pairings at the ready, you won’t be disappointed with the cuisine that awaits your taste-buds. In fact, if you’re looking for something a little different and certainly special, you can snowshoe on over to The Yurt where chefs will prepare for you a full five-course dining experience right in front of your very own eyes.

Besides taking in the runs, there is plenty to do while in Solitude. In the summer time, you can bike, fish, golf, hike and even ride some mountain scooters. A scenic lift ride is also a great way to spend your time, taking in the nature and scenery in the area. In the winter, ice skating, snowmobiling and snowshoeing are great ways to spend your time and are sure to leave a smile on your face. There’s also the Nordic Center if you’re into cross-country skiing.

When it comes to getting on the mountain, Solitude delivers an average of 500 inches (1,270 centimeters) each season, so it’s more than likely that you’ll be enjoying ideal conditions anytime you’re on the slopes. Over 1,200 acres (486 hectares) of powdery terrain make Solitude a paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike. From bowls and chutes to tree runs and cruisers, these beautifully groomed features will keep you busy while you seemingly forget that life exists off of the mountain. What’s more, all experience levels will be able to take full advantage of all runs.
